Ingredients

This recipe uses super easy ingredients that can be purchased from a local grocery store if they are not already in your kitchen. Read the Recipe Card for the measurements.

  • Pineapple – We use fresh pineapple chunks that we cut, but you can easily use frozen or canned as well. If you use fresh or canned, its best to freeze the pineapple for an hour prior to blending. Pineapple is really high in fiber, vitamin C, and other nutrients.
  • Banana – The riper the better. We typically use 2 bananas for each smoothie batch that we make.
  • Spinach – We use fresh baby spinach. Spinach is nutrient-dense and is very high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory qualities. You can substitute kale here.
  • Coconut Water – In addition to the electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium, using coconut water adds some sweetness to this smoothie. Regular water can be used as well.
  • Flaxseed Meal – This is a great way to add some extra fiber and nutrients to your smoothies. Flaxseed is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and other nutrients.
