Perfectly Easy Jasmine Rice

Cooking jasmine rice is easy and come out perfect every time with this recipe. With its delicate floral aroma and fluffy texture, this is our family's favorite rice.

Pour one cup of jasmine rice into a large bowl or strainer. Once the rice is in the strainer, pour enough water so that the rice can sit submerged in the bowl. As the rice is submerged in the water, give it a few gentle swirls to release the starch. Remove rice and discard water.

Repeat the rinsing process three times until the water appears clear. Once the rice has been rinsed, remove from water and drain thoroughly.

In a medium saucepan, add rice, water and a pinch of salt. Give it a good swirl with a spoon to separate the grains.

On medium heat, cover the pot and bring the rice to a boil. Once the rice has started to boil, reduce heat to low and let simmer undisturbed for 10 minutes until all of the water has absorbed.

Remove from heat and let the pot sit covered for another 15 minutes. Next, remove the cover and fluff the rice gently with a fork.
