Slice the avocados in half and then carefully remove the pit. Whack the pit of the avocado with a chef's knife or any large knife, then turn the knife counterclockwise while holding the avocado in place.
In a medium bowl, add avocado halves, lime juice and salt. Mash the avocados together with a fork or potato masher, leaving a few whole chunks for added texture.
