Creamy Tomato Soup with Cheesy Bread

The perfect combination!  Rich and creamy tomato soup served with cheesy bread or yummy grilled cheese sandwiches.  All in under 30 minutes from start to finish!

Add olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven, throw in the garlic to cook for 30 seconds over medium heat.

Add 2 cans of tomato puree as well as the 8 cups of water to the pot.

Next, add the honey, beef and chicken base, and salt. Stir to combine. Over medium heat, bring almost to a boil.

Add sherry, then cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes on a low simmer, until the alcohol burns off.

Lastly, turn off the stove, add the basil and heavy cream. Stir to combine. Serve with cheesy sourdough bread and enjoy!
